Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are excited to have you join the Robert Gordon School family! Please note the following important information.
Class assignments will be available in Genesis on or about September 1st.
Parents and Students are invited to a Kindergarten Meet and Greet on Wednesday, September 3rd, at 2:00 p.m. This is an opportunity to meet your child’s teacher, Ms. Murphy or Mrs. Warren. You are encouraged to bring your child’s supplies on this day. (Supply list is on the district website: www.rpsd.org)
Thursday, September 4th is the first day of school. Kindergarten students will be met by their teacher outside door #1 The Main Entrance of Robert Gordon School. Teachers will escort them to their classrooms at 8:20 when the bells rings.
Students will be dismissed at 12:30 p.m. on September 4th and September 5th. All students should bring a healthy snack on early dismissal days as no lunch is served.
Throughout the school year students may enter the building at 8:20 a.m. and proceed to their classroom. The late bell will ring at 8:30 a.m. Students entering at or after 8:30 a.m. must report to the office. Any student not seated in their classroom by 8:30 a.m. is late for school. Please note, students are not supervised outside school before 8:15 in the morning, therefore children should not arrive to school before 8:15 a.m. Before care is available starting at 7:00 a.m. Please visit www.workfamily.org for more information.
Breakfast is available for purchase at 8:00 a.m. Students coming in for breakfast should ring the doorbell at door #5 and will be let into the building by staff.
Lunch may be purchased at school or brought from home. Children who leave for lunch must be picked up and returned to school by a parent/guardian. Students are encouraged to bring a healthy snack to school every day.
Lunch will be served starting Monday, September 8th. Each month the menu will be posted on the district website www.rpsd.org.
Students are dismissed at 2:50 p.m. on regular dismissal days. Kindergarten students are dismissed through door #1.
I look forward to working with you and your child.

Sincerely,
Ms. Dougherty
Principal
